These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Voltage DJs website (“the Website”), operated by Voltage DJs (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Website, creating an account, or making a booking, you agree to these Terms.


1. About Voltage DJs

Voltage DJs operates as an online booking platform that connects clients with independent DJs.

We are not an agency, employer, or contractor of any DJ listed on the Website. All DJs operate as independent service providers and are solely responsible for the services they provide.


2. Definitions

  • Client – any person or organisation booking or enquiring about DJ services through the Website

  • DJ – an independent DJ who has created a profile on the Website

  • Booking – an agreed engagement between a Client and a DJ

  • Event – the performance or service provided by the DJ

  • Platform – the Voltage DJs Website and related systems


3. Use of the Website

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information

  • Use the Website for lawful purposes only

  • Not misuse, scrape, or interfere with the Platform

We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms.


4. Bookings and Payments (Clients)

4.1 Making a booking

When you submit a booking request, this does not constitute a confirmed booking. A booking is only confirmed once:

  • The DJ confirms availability, and

  • Any required payment has been completed

4.2 Payments

Payments are processed securely through the a third-party payment provider - Stripe.

Voltage DJs may collect payment on behalf of the DJ and pass it on according to agreed terms.


5. DJ Responsibilities

Each DJ listed on the Website is fully responsible for:

  • Managing communication with the Client

  • Delivering the agreed service at the Event

  • Equipment, setup, performance, and breakdown

  • Insurance, licensing, and legal compliance

  • Health & safety at the Event

  • Music selection, timings, and conduct

Voltage DJs does not supervise, manage, or control DJ performances.


6. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate event details

  • Ensuring suitable access, power, and space for the DJ

  • Complying with venue rules and licensing requirements

  • Communicating any special requirements in advance


7. Role of Voltage DJs

Voltage DJs:

  • Provides the Platform for introductions and bookings

  • Facilitates communication and payment processing

  • Does not participate in the Event itself

We are not liable for:

  • DJ performance quality

  • DJ cancellations or no-shows

  • Equipment failure

  • Disputes between DJs and Clients

  • Losses arising from an Event

All contracts for services are between the Client and the DJ directly.


8. Fees and Commission (DJs)

Creating a DJ profile is free unless stated otherwise.

When bookings are secured through the Platform, Voltage DJs charge a service fee of 10% - this is included in the booking fee of the DJ.


9. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms may vary depending on:

  • Timing of cancellation

  • DJ policies

  • Payment stage

Voltage DJs is not responsible for enforcing individual DJ cancellation policies but may assist with communication where appropriate.


10. DJ Profiles and Content

DJs are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, including:

  • Experience

  • Equipment

  • Photos

  • Pricing

We reserve the right to edit, suspend, or remove profiles that are misleading, offensive, or breach these Terms.


11. Intellectual Property

All Website content, branding, and design belong to Voltage DJs unless otherwise stated.

DJs retain ownership of their own uploaded content but grant us permission to display it for promotional and booking purposes.


12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Voltage DJs shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses

  • Our total liability shall not exceed any fees paid to us

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where unlawful to do so.


13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Website at our discretion if these Terms are breached.


14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
